Heroes International Film Festival

Heroes International Film Festival

Heroes International Film Festival is the first Italian festival dedicated to the relationship between Visual Arts and Cinema, with particular focus on the role of craftspeople and visual and musical artists in creating cinematographic and audiovisual works for TV and online broadcasting, centered on "genre" storytelling (fantasy, science fiction, horror, thriller, action and transmedia, both live action and animation). HEROES is now known as the "craftspeople's festival" and as an essential Italian reference event for industry associations, cinema and art students, professionals and artists working in the film and television industry. The festival formula includes: a line-up of national premieres of "genre" feature films; an international competition for auteur and academic short films - judged by an international jury; a film school with masterclasses and workshops led by international and national artists and professionals on artistic, creative and technical disciplines of audiovisual and interactive products; an award for young talents and great Italian masters of cinema and serial productions; an events and performance space dedicated to the relationship between film and visual arts; and a scouting space with portfolio reviews and pitching sessions for young talents.
